Articles  stick to cold, hard facts, or try to, and while that is commendable, it nevertheless limits us to what we know – which often isn’t all that much.  Essays are different.

The Oxford Dictionary defines essay as a trial, test or experiment, in which we “essay forth” and try to find the “esse” or essence of things.

So with essays we can untether the imagination, let it soar a bit, and just see where it goes.
